Specialists in Serious Fraud and Complex Criminal Defence
MPR solicitors successful in defending Conspiracy to rape case
We were retained to advise and represent a client during a police investigation into historic allegations of conspiracy to rape minors. The case was being investigated by a specialist unit within Surrey Police.
We gave pre-charge advice and attended the police station with our client for the PACE interview under caution.
The case involved very detailed allegations against our client and others. The case involved the complex issues of conspiracy and knowledge.
By giving our client strategic advice at the police station and by making representations to the police pre-charge, we were able to secure a No Further Action result for the client.
It usually pays to have a full legal consultation ahead of any police interview with one of our specialist solicitors in sexual offences. We can in most cases obtain the police disclosure ahead of the interview, prepare our clients for the police interview and gather relevant information. We are also able to draft prepared statements for our clients to use in the PACE interview rather than answering questions at the police station.
At MPR Solicitors, we offer a totally bespoke service based upon your needs. We can offer a range of fixed fees or hourly rates or a combination of the two depending upon your requirements. We have also introduced a “Pay as you Go” service which allows you to pay your legal fees in instalments or in stages in the proceedings or for specific pieces of work. This allows you to budget for your case. Please bear in mind that legal aid in criminal proceedings in means tested and in a lot of cases, you would have to fund your case on a private basis or be subject to hefty contributions. For those who are eligible for legal aid, MPR solicitors hold a criminal franchise from the Legal Aid Agency which allows us to take on publicly funded criminal defence work (which can be limited in the type of service you can expect to receive).
