Our client was charged with multiple counts of rape over a one year period. The allegations were extremely serious and the ramifications intense for the client in the event of a conviction. Following a multi-pronged defence strategy, we actively looked into the complainant’s history and her movements. We were able at trial to totally discredit her assertions. Due to the fast thinking actions of our in-house advocate in the trial, evidence in chief given by the complainant was reduced to shreds in cross-examination. Following a 7 day trial and an ordeal for our client, he was unanimously acquitted of all counts of rape.
