MPR Defend in latest SFO prosecution - Bribery and Corruption charges

MPR’s Business Crime Team have been instructed to represent and advise a professional in the oil and gas industry in relation to charges of Conspiracy to make corrupt payments contrary to section 1 Prevention of Corruption Act 1906 and section 1 of the Criminal Law Act 1971 as the dates of the alleged offences pre-date the modern Bribery Act 2010.

We have been chosen for our expertise in the area of Serious Fraud and White Collar Crime and the team regularly advise professionals either being investigated or being prosecuted by the SFO or by other regulatory bodies.

The trial will take place at Southwark Crown Court towards the end of 2018.
